Consume

This was the first oil painting I’ve made and completed…not sure what sparked the idea but it was an image in my head that I really liked, and was a great way to learn a few things about painting in oils. It’s now hanging up in my bedroom.

Mr Johnson

I took this photo of Fedora el Morro in my friend John Kieltyka’s photography studio…I felt this was the best of the bunch, and it was later jury-selected into the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival which was pretty cool. The 6′ tall sock monkey was knitted by Seattle artist Monika Lidman out of old Goodwill sweaters…both Monika and John are incredible people and amazing artists, I’m always stoked to see what irons they have in the fire.
This photo is NSFW so you’ll have to go through the break to view it… Continue reading

Airstream

I always liked Airstream trailers…this one I saw off the side of the road during a roadtrip to California, so I pulled off the highway and tromped on into the brush to get some photos. I got some good shots of the exteriors (there were 2 airstreams next to each other) and had just started poking around inside as they were abandoned and trashed when I heard a shotgun blast that sounded fairly close. Rather than risk getting perforated for poking around someone’s meth lab or something I chose to bail the hell out of there.

Peeping Santa

I always sort of suspected.
I made this for a christmas-themed photoshop contest I believe, though I can’t recall what site it was for.

Skull Deck

This was the first skateboard deck I painted…it wasn’t as easy as I had hoped, but I definitely learned a few things about painting on curved surfaces like that, and I’m actually really happy with how it turned out (especially the roses). I ended up giving this deck to a tattoo artist friend as a gift.

Dorse

Dog horse hybrid, created for a Mechapixel photoshop contest I think from a few years back. I like the expression in the dog’s eyes.

Pop

Just for fun…made from an AP photo in the news; originally the soldier in the back had his hand on the shoulder of the Iraqi policeman in the front as he taught him weapon usage.

Dinosaur Tea

I painted this for my girlfriend, who had told her niece all about how she had a teaparty in her back yard with a dinosaur who had to use a bathtub because it was too big to use a cup. From what I hear the niece loved it (it was a birthday present)…hopefully it’s one of those things that you own or experience as a kid that sort of sticks with you for life.

Necrotopsy series

This is a sort of ongoing series of photos/photoshop manipulations I’ve worked on over the last couple of years called Necrotopsy, the idea of which is to sort of show a morbid and lifeless scene and yet instill a sense of sensuality and life into it.
The series is NSFW so you’ll have to venture past the break to see the three pieces in this series that are completed (more in the works). From first to third, the models are:

    1. Fedora el Morro
    2. Sarah Liz
    3. Carlotta Champagne

Enjoy! Continue reading

Mona and the mouse

So the cat trapped a little mouse in the backyard and was playing with it, smacking it around with her paws and whatnot, when the dogs saw what was going on…Mona, the golden retriever mutt in the photo, was having a great time scooping the little guy up in her teeth and throwing it over her shoulder. Somehow the mouse survived and eventually ran off to safety before anything finished it off!
